There will be a Team Meeting Wednesday night April 11 in the Ann Arbor area for all athletes and their families who participated in this past youth indoor track season and for those who are planning on (or are considering) the upcoming youth outdoor track season. Due to the potentially large number of people who may wish to attend, the staff would like to get a head count so we can choose a facility that will be suitable. The actual meeting location will be announced next week. Even though the entire meeting may last two hours (from 7-9 PM) there’s no need to attend the entire meeting necessarily:

Those who participated during the indoor season, who have no plans to participate during the outdoor season can attend just the first hour of the meeting which will be spent discussing the past indoor season and recognize the kids for all their hard work and accomplishments.

Those who did not participate during the indoor season, but plan on (or are considering) participating during the outdoor season can attend the second hour, which will be spent discussing the upcoming outdoor season. The outdoor season starts Monday April 16.

Only those who participated during the indoor season and plan to participate during the outdoor season as well should attend the entire meeting.

There will be a short intermission after the first hour, to dismiss those attending just the first hour, and to allow those attending the second hour to take their seats.

As I mentioned before, high school athletes competing for their schools are not expected to (re-)join the club until June, but these athletes are welcome to attend the team meeting, as well as their parents, provided there’s no conflict with their school track practices or meets.
